- CLS – Can you feel it
- Marshall Jefferson – Open Your Eyes

2008
Posted in mixes on December 27th, 2008 by distorientation – 1 CommentFor my first post in almost a year, I’ve made a retrospective of this year’s releases. This mix contains tracks from all the records I bought that were released this year, excluding rereleases (except Renaissance). Conclusion: a good year for house, and I’m not talking about minimal electrohouse bollocks. Also some electronix and some (dub) techno in the second half of this 2 hour+ mix.
Hiphouse Megafestijn

I remember there being a competition to try and select the three Hiphouse tracks that do not suck
well, this one is loaded with those kind of tracks.

Posted in mixes on January 12th, 2008 by Acieed Ed – Be the first to comment| A couple of years ago I made a mix which was inspired by this book. You can pick it up pretty cheap these days, and I just reread it. Would be nice if someone made a follow up of it. What happened after 1997 etc.
I tried to follow the line of the book a bit, from disco, electro to acid. Then moving on to harder breakbeat stuff upto gabber. Then back to new beat and eventually top 40 material (with as a bonus a great techno track). The gaps between tracks are caused by bad ripping software in the past. |
Tracklist contains Donna Summer, Phuture, Underground Resistance, Neon, Technotronic (see more below).
