The final result of this was that the city of Marseille decided to cut down the number of billboards from 5.5 thousand to 3.5 thousand. A remarkable fact!

I do not wish to promote these actions as you kow – I am actually quite sceptical about it. But the fact that it made politicians realize that there is too much advertisement in the streets is something renarkable.

That can only happen in France, where there is a huge history of strikes and public anger which resulted in some changes (guillotine anyone?).

Verbrugge kijkt ook heel specifiek naar het effect van reklame, wat uit deze introductie niet blijkt. Best interessant, alhoewel er ook een erg saai stukje inzit, maar dat is persoonlijk
